Beautiful morning is a watercolor and ink painting of an abstracted bright yellow sunflower on handmade watercolour paper. The wonderful texture of this paper adds a special look to the painting.

Last summer I was so fascinated of the beautiful bright yellow sunflowers blooming in the summer gardens and in sunflower fields around me. I realized, that I haven`t painted sunflowers before, so I decided to challenge myself and do a series of sunflower paintings in many different techniques, experimenting with various media like watercolor, soft pastels, acrylic, oil pastels, pencil, ink, charcoal..., trying different papers and styles. That was great fun. This painting is part of this flower series.
