Windswept poppies is a watercolor painting in contemporary square format painted by artist Karen Kaspar. Several bright red poppies dance in the wind. The picture is painted with loose brush strokes. The red flowers and green stems are painted in a diagonal direction against an abstract background. The background in shades of blue and yellow suggests a blue sky over a summer garden.
Every spring and summer I enjoy the beautiful bright red poppies that bloom all over the garden and fields. They look so fragile but are very hardy and always find a little place to grow and delight our hearts with their beauty. Here is an abstracted watercolor of these beauties.

Visual artist. For me inspiration is everywhere. When I go for a walk in the beautiful nature, I see landscape paintings with green meadows under a blue sky, golden fields under a dramatic sky with stormclouds and blue mountains in the sunshine. Old gnarled trees and young shrubs inspire me with fresh green leaves and delicate blossoms in spring and summer, colorful fall foliage in autumn and with abstract bare branches in winter. Summer times at the beach are an endless source of inspiration for seascape paintings - ocean, waves, sand, beach, seagulls, boats sailing.
