Anticipation is half the pleasure. When you are planning a day at the beach, you can hear already the waves rolling in, the smell of the fresh ocean breeze is in the air, you feel the sand between your toes.
A mother and her little daughter are walking through the sand dunes towards the beach, going to have a day full of fun at the ocean.
Together walking through the sand dunes acrylic painting is my entry for day 1 of the FAA
/ Pixels 7 Day Challenge with the theme liquids.
I decided to print out some of my photos from a vacation at the Baltic sea in Germany some years ago as inspiration and do some little beach and ocean themed paintings for this challenge.

Visual artist. For me inspiration is everywhere. When I go for a walk in the beautiful nature, I see landscape paintings with green meadows under a blue sky, golden fields under a dramatic sky with stormclouds and blue mountains in the sunshine. Old gnarled trees and young shrubs inspire me with fresh green leaves and delicate blossoms in spring and summer, colorful fall foliage in autumn and with abstract bare branches in winter. Summer times at the beach are an endless source of inspiration for seascape paintings - ocean, waves, sand, beach, seagulls, boats sailing.
